A man who was arrested twice in one week as a suspect in two burglaries, was arrested again Thursday, accused of driving under the influence. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a pick-up truck at Avalon Avenue and Luna Vista Lane in Yucca Valley about 5:40 Thursday afternoon. Sitting in the bed of the truck were Perry Jonathan, and his two children, ages 1 and 3. Driving the truck was Daniel Haverty, 18, who had been arrested the day before, accused of stealing hundreds of dollars worth of electronic merchandise from Walmart. The report states that Haverty told the deputy that he had used methamphetamine two days earlier. Daniel Haverty was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and was cited for not having a valid driver’s license. Perry Jonathan was cited for not having his children secured properly in a car seat, and released. The pick-up truck was towed.
