RENTED TRUCK BECOMES STUCK WHILE ILLEGALLY DUMPING CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

In a case of bad karma, the Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of illegal dumping in the desert in Twentynine Palms. About 11:40 Tuesday, deputies were called to the illegal dump site just east of Utah Trail at Amboy Road. Deputies found a rented U-Haul truck stuck in the sand; unknown suspects had been dumping roofing and construction materials from the truck in the desert when the truck become stuck. The driver was not on the scene when deputies arrived. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
