Tuesday, December 10, is the last day to pay the first installment of property taxes to avoid a 10 percent penalty. You can do it in any of several ways: Online, at www.MyTaxCollector.com; over the phone, by calling 909-387-8308. Either online or on the phone, you can pay from a checking or savings account, or by credit card. (There is a convenience fee for using a credit card, but not for using a bank account.) If you choose to pay by mail, payments postmarked on or before December 10, 2013 are considered on time. Electronic payment options on-line and over-the-phone include: E-check (electronic check) using your checking or savings account (free); Credit card (convenience fee applies). Finally, you can pay in person, at 172 West Third Street, First Floor, in San Bernardino.
