Remembering Ty Lafoon, 1961 – 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ty Laffoon, a cherished soul who left us on Thursday January 11, 2024. Born on August 26, 1961, Ty lived a life full of adventure, love, and laughter that touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Ty’s boundless spirit and zest for life were truly infectious. With an enormous circle of friends spanning from San Diego to El Segundo, El Porto, Vail, Colorado, and even reaching the sunny shores of Florida, Ty’s impact was felt far and wide. His ability to connect with people on a deep and genuine level created bonds that will endure beyond his physical presence.

A true adventurer at heart, Ty thrived on exploring the world around him. Whether it was hiking through the majestic landscapes, biking along scenic routes, or simply enjoying the company of those he held dear, Ty’s passion for life was evident in every step he took. His adventurous spirit inspired those around him to embrace the beauty of the journey.

Ty’s love for the Raiders was unwavering, and in heaven, we can picture him schmoozing with kindred spirits, hiking through celestial landscapes, biking on trails of pure bliss, and passionately cheering for his beloved team. His joyous spirit lives on in the memories of those who shared these moments with him.

As we bid farewell to Ty Laffoon, we celebrate the life of a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. His memory will be forever etched in our hearts, a testament to the enduring impact of a life well-lived. His brother Robert was such a wonderful example of a selfless brother who stuck by him and nursed him through these tough days. So many of his friends were at his side during his hospital days as a testament to his life.

May he rest in eternal peace with his savior, Jesus, and surrounded by the beauty and adventures he so dearly loved.
