The Desert Institute, the educational organization of the Joshua Tree National Park Association, is now taking registration for fall workshops.
The Desert Institute is offering an array of exciting workshops, including Practical Uses of Native Plants, Discovering Art Murals of Twentynine Palms, two classes on iPhone photography, and a three-day workshop called Hiking My Feelings.
There is also a day outing class – Birds and Other Wonders of the Salton Sea -and a day hike exploring the mining history of Joshua Tree National Park. In addition, the Desert Institute is sponsoring the Joshua Tree Writer’s Festival on November 12 and 13 that’s a celebration of creative works inspired by the park.
