The Desert Institute offers four new hikes, a new bird class, and eight camping workshops. In addition to courses in and around Joshua Tree National Park, there are programs in Coachella Valley. Anza Borrego State Park, Zzyzx in the Mojave National Preserve, and Death Valley National Park. Classes are smaller and many classroom lectures are Zoom meetings before the weekend field component.
