REGISTRATION CLOSING: DRIP IRRIGATION CLASS EXPANDS TO TWO DAYS

A class on utilizing a drip irrigation system in your desert garden has been expanded to two evening sessions next week. Reporter Jef Harmatz is here to tell you how to register for the lesson in desert smart gardening.

The Joshua Basin Water District’s class on drip irrigation systems has been expanded from one night to two nights. That means they’ll be able to provide you with twice as much information on basic micro drip system design and maintenance, the basics of mulch and compost, which native plants you should use, and where best to place them in your yard. Over both two-hour sessions, you’ll learn about ways to save water and money while creating a stunning and sustainable desert garden. The two-part class will be held on April 4 and 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., and will be held fully online. To sign up, you must reserve a space before April 1. To attend, please email [email protected]
