The Hi-Desert Nature Museum is now accepting registration for its summer camps, which coincide with its “Sonic Sensation” exhibit. Managing editor Tami Roleff has more information about the camps and how to sign up.
The Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s four summer camps are themed around the museum’s current “Sonic Sensation” exhibition. The camps are held 9 to noon Tuesdays through Thursdays in June and July. Week 1 is June 18-20, and Week 2 is June 25-27, and the camps are for children aged 6 to 8. Week 1 will include balancing activities such as tightrope walking, yoga, and balance beams. Children will explore their sense of touch and make art in Week 2. Weeks 3 and 4 are July 9-11 and July 16-18, and are for children age 9 to 12. In Week 3, children will explore their sense of taste and smell; during Week 4, children will explore optical illusions. Each week is $20 per child. Classes fill up early; to register, go to http://hidesertnaturemuseum.org/?p=5402
