Wee Hoops is a four-week youth basketball program for first- and second- grade players. It’s designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of basketball in an organized practice and game setting. Participants in this co-ed program will enjoy two class sessions each week for a total of eight lessons that incorporates fun learning drills and scrimmage style games. Parents can choose Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday sessions. The program takes place at the Boys and Girls Club Gymnasium from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. with sessions offered in January and February. Registration fee of $40 includes instruction, program t-shirt, picture package, participation award and a pizza party. Space is limited, registration is open until filled. The program emphasizes basic skills and game knowledge, no score is kept and all players receive a participation award at the end of the season.
