Hi-Desert seniors are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings of the Morongo Basin Regional Council on Aging. Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month at 12:30 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Senior Center. October’s meeting, set for October 25, will include a guest speaker on senior legal services. Residents are encouraged to bring suggestions for improvements to senior needs, services, and events in the Morongo Basin, as well as topics for future meetings. The Morongo Basin Regional Council on Aging still needs a chair and facilitator as well as volunteers to spread the word about the Council. For more information, call 760-694-4509.
