RED CROSS VOLUNTEER MEETING TONIGHT

The Red Cross is looking for volunteers in the Morongo Basin. The Red Cross is working to prepare for and provide disaster relief related to fires, storms, and other large-scale events. Morongo Basin’s Disaster Cycle Services Team is seeking volunteers to help provide assistance when these events occur. The meeting will highlight in-person and virtual volunteer opportunities, showcase the work they have been doing in the Basin, hear from guest speakers, and engage with the community. From disaster response teams to shelter associates, logistics to mass care, there is a role for all interested volunteers. Any Morongo Basin resident interested in volunteering is invited to the response team’s next meeting tonight (March 30) at 6 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center (Cholla Room), 57090 Twentynine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley.

There will be two guest speakers at this month’s meeting:

Officer English, San Bernardino County Fire Protection District

John Steinberger, American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces
