The 29 Palms Art Gallery will hold an artists’ reception and awards presentation Sunday, January 17, for its 2016 annual juried student art show. Students in grades 7 through 12 from across the Morongo Basin have entered art in a variety of media. The reception is from noon to 3 p.m. and includes refreshments. Ribbons and cash awards—including the Ada Bigler award to a graduating senior and a $250 scholarship award from Copper Mountain College—will be presented. The public is invited to attend. The student show will run through January 31. The 29 Palms Art Gallery is open Wednesdays through Sundays from noon to 3 and is located at 74055 Cottonwood Drive, just off National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms.
