For the past seven weeks, the Joshua Tree Highlands artists in residence have lived and created art in the Mojave Desert. The artists are: sculptors Robert Michael Jones and Timothy Murdoch; visual artists and sculptors Ari Elefterin and Heidi Kayser; and painter Keely Nelson-Rivers. An opening reception of their exhibition, “(Re)Formations,” will be held Saturday, July 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Joshua Tree Art Gallery in downtown Joshua Tree.
