Dr. Cindy McVay, who retired June 30 from Morongo Unified School District, has filed papers to run for the Morongo Unified School Board in November. McVay was a principal at Oasis Elementary, Morongo Elementary, and most recently, Palm Vista Elementary. McVay said, “After 33 years in education, I have the opportunity to help students, parents, and educators through a different venue. I am excited to be running and look forward to the experience!”
