RECENT PRISON RELEASEE ARRESTED FOR FAILING TO REPORT

A recently released Twentynine Palms felon was arrested early Tuesday morning for failing to report to his probation officer, a woman with him was arrested for harboring a parolee. Dustin Sansoucie, 22, convicted of petty theft in June 2011, was released from the state prison in Chino recently under AB109, the State Prison Realignment Plan. Under AB109, offenders of non-violent, non-sexual crimes are released from prison and are supervised by county probation officers. After Sancoucie failed to keep his appointments with the probation officers, a warrant was issued for his arrest. According to Sergeant Jason Radeleff at the Sheriff’s Department, deputies went to a home in the 6300 block of Desert Queen Avenue just after midnight early Tuesday morning and finally convinced Desirae Brown, 19, to open the door. After searching the residence, Sancoucie was found hiding under a car in the garage. Dustin Sancoucie was arrested on a felony, no-bail warrant for failing to appear for his post-release community supervision. He is being held at the West Valley Detention Center. Desirae Brown was arrested for investigation of harboring a parolee at large. Brown was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and was released on $25,000 bail Tuesday afternoon.
