REACH-OUT TO HOST GALA OPENING OF “HARVEY” FRIDAY AT THEATRE 29

Reach Out Morongo Basin will host the opening night gala this Friday of “Harvey,” directed by Theatre 29 veteran Eddie Tucker at Theatre 29. With your invitation, here’s reporter Rebecca Havely…

The classic tale of “Harvey” tells the story of Elwood P. Dowd, played by Kurt Schauppner, and his best friend Harvey, a six-foot-tall invisible rabbit. The opening night gala at Theatre 29 will begin at 6 p.m. Friday with heavy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Desserts will be served at intermission. Opening night tickets ONLY are $25 each and are available at Z107.7, the Desert Trail, the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce, ArtFx and Furnishings, and at Reach Out Morongo Basin offices in the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley senior centers. Proceeds from the event will benefit Reach Out Morongo Basin the neighbors-helping-neighbors organization.

“Harvey” will run Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons from August 17 to September 2. For tickets other than opening night, visit theatre29.org or call the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.
