Because Reach Out works with seniors and disabled residents whose health is considered to be most at risk of COVID-19, Executive director Robin Schlosser said Reach Out Morongo Basin has temporarily suspended all its transportation services through March 31. The suspension of transportation services includes rides to doctors, both in the Morongo Basin and in the Low Desert, as well as grocery stores and other destinations. However, Schlosser said she understands the hardship this may place on some residents. She said Reach Out will continue to accommodate pick-up and delivery of groceries, prescriptions or other goods where possible where transport of residents is not necessary.
