The Morongo Basin Transit Authority recently awarded an $18,000 grant for Reach Out Morongo Basin’s transportation program. The award was from the transit authority’s Transportation Assistance Grant program. Reach Out Executive Director Robin Schlosser said the funds will be used to cover some of the charity’s operational costs, which will allow it to continue to provide no-cost medical transportation, as well as rides to grocery stores, pharmacies, and social service appointments. To schedule a ride, call 760-361-1410.
