REACH OUT MORONGO BASIN DELIVERS MEALS TO SENIORS

During the current shelter in place orders throughout the State of California local seniors have had to give up congregating at local senior centers for their daily lunches from the Senior Nutrition Program. Rebecca Havely explains how they are still receiving their meals…

While the local senior centers haven’t been able to continue to serve lunches during the stay-at-home order, that doesn’t mean that the seniors they serve are having to go without their meals. Reach Out Morongo Basin is working in coordination with the nutrition program to deliver meals to seniors in the Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley areas. Reach Out  Morongo Basin is delivering meals to eligible seniors age 60 and over. Deliveries were made to 75 seniors in Twentynine Palms on Friday, April 10, and to 17 seniors in Yucca Valley on Wednesday April 8. For more information call Reach Out Morongo Basin at 760-361-1410 or 760-369-8671.
