A Yucca Valley man was arrested Thursday, accused of rape and false imprisonment. According to a Sheriff’s report, a woman went to a neighbor’s home in the 5000 block of Lomita Drive in Yucca Valley about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, and said she had been handcuffed to the bed, and burned by Robert Coffie, 42, since 10 p.m. Wednesday, before managing to escape. Coffie was located about 6 p.m. and arrested for investigation of false imprisonment and rape. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $250,000.
