Given the rainfall record of the past couple of years, it may seem like wishful thinking that Transition Joshua Tree is offering a rain harvesting workshop. Reporter Dan Stork gets out his umbrella…
The Transition Joshua Tree Water Group is offering a free rain harvesting workshop on Sunday, April 28, from 9 to 11 a.m. There will be hands-on training in how to install rain gutters and water tanks to harvest rainwater for landscape watering and emergency supplies. The workshop will cover two different systems—a commercially available one, and a lower cost, do-it-yourself version. All materials for the workshop, which meets at 63527 Walpi Drive in Joshua Tree, will be provided, but it’s recommended that you bring a hat, camera, and water. For more information, call Buck at 760-819-1299 or email to [email protected].
