”Ragtime” continues to wow audiences at Theatre 29. Les Taylor tells us who’s who in the cast…
Capacity crowds have enjoyed performances of the epic musical “Ragtime” at Theatre 29 since opening night. Comments from audience members include “Incredible” “inspiring” “unbelievable voices” and “the best I’ve ever heard at this theatre!” Director Charles Harvey has indeed assembled a stunning array of local singers including a group of former favorites, many not heard on this stage for years. Foremost among these is Jennifer Paulk who takes the lead role of Mother. Joining her is Graham Cooley, Alex Gomez, Erin Itnyre-Keeran and Horace Miller as Coalhouse Walker, Jr. Aiding these veterans are newcomers Gloria Garner, Ben Bees, Sadie Johannsson and Leonard Weber who rounds out the principal players as Tateh. Add in an ensemble of nearly 30 more strong voices under the guidance of Musical Director Kathryn Ferguson and the result is a musical performance not to be missed! “Ragtime” runs through June 1 Friday and Saturday nights at 7 pm with a final matinee show Sunday, May 26th at 2:30. Make reservations through the box office at 760-361-4151 or on-line at Theatre29.org. But hurry as the remaining shows are selling out fast!
