The classic, Pulitzer-prize winning comedy, “Harvey” opens at Theatre 29 tonight for a three-week run Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 pm through September 2. Directed by Eddie Tucker, the show stars Kurt Schauppner as Elwood P. Dowd, a good natured, mild-mannered eccentric who is polite and always friendly. There is just one problem—his best friend is a six-foot tall rabbit. Made famous in the 1950 movie starring Jimmy Stewart, “Harvey” asks the age-old question of who is really a menace to society. Suitable for the whole family, tickets are available at theatre29.org or by calling the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151.
