PUBLIC’S HELP SOUGHT TO LOCATE SUSPECTS IN ATTEMPTED ROBBERY IN YUCCA VALLEY

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two men suspected of attempted robbery in Yucca Valley Wednesday. About 7:20 p.m., an employee at the Subway restaurant in the 58000 block of Highway 62 was closing the store for the evening. When she went out the back door, two men approached her, one of whom was holding a brick. The man with the brick demanded the clerk let them in the store. The woman fled to her vehicle and the suspect followed and tried unsuccessfully to force his way inside her car. The clerk fled and was unharmed.

The man with the brick was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds with an average build. He was dressed in a black beanie, a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants and white shoes. The second man was described as white, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds with a thin build. He was dressed in a dark-colored ball call with the letter B on it, a T-shirt, and dark blue jeans. Anyone with information should contact the We-Tip hotline at 888-78-CRIME.
