PUBLIC’S HELP SOUGHT IN JOSHUA TREE VANDALISM

Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in a case of vandalism in Joshua Tree Sunday. Just after 2 p.m., a woman got her Nissan van stuck near the intersection of Pole Line Road and Center Avenue in Joshua Tree. The woman walked away from her van to get help; when she was about 300 yards away, two unknown men arrived in a Suzuki-style SUV with a luggage rack on the top. The men got out of their vehicle and then broke the back windows on the van. The woman yelled at the men to leave, at which time they returned to the vehicle and fled eastbound on Pole Line Road. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
