PUBLIC’S HELP SOUGHT IN ILLEGAL DUMPING IN JOSHUA TREE

Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help in a case of illegal dumping in north Joshua Tree. About 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, neighbors in the 62100 block of Sonora Road in Joshua Tree called to report that a red dump truck had just illegally dumped several tons of broken asphalt and concrete alongside Sonora Road. Video surveillance captured the dump truck which had white writing on the door leaving the site.

The Sheriff’s Department reports that several commercial construction projects are underway in the Morongo Basin and surrounding areas. Anyone who has seen a red dump truck in the area that matches the description is asked to contact the Deputy Robert Stucki at 760-366-4175.
