PUBLIC INPUT SOUGHT BEFORE TONIGHT’S YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

Prior to the start of tonight’s Yucca Valley Town Council meeting, there will be a strategic planning workshop. Residents will have the opportunity to express their preferences for what they’d like to see in Yucca Valley and how their tax dollars should be spent. Among the items on tonight’s agenda of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the council will recognize the new members of the youth commission, award a presentation to the Morongo Basin Sexual Assault Services, and introduce new employees. The council will be asked to reject a claim filed against the town by Clarence Jones and hear a budget and treasurer’s report. The council will open and continue a public hearing on the sale of a vacant garage, located at 55460 29 Palms Highway. The council will also be asked to approve a parcel map that subdivides Town Center mall into four commercial units, and approve preliminary plans for the Yucca Trail safety improvement project, from Warren Vista to Palomar Avenue. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
