PUBLIC HELP SOUGHT IN LOCATING YUCCA VALLEY MAN WANTED FOR SPOUSE ABUSE AND GUN THEFT

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a Yucca Valley man wanted for spouse abuse, false imprisonment, and firearm theft. According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies were dispatched Monday (July 19) to the 8000 block of Sage Avenue in Yucca Valley at 11:42 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute. Arriving deputies located a female victim at the scene who reported that Timothy Charles Mitchell, 32, of Yucca Valley had choked her with his hands during an argument until she was unconscious. The victim also said that Mitchell took her handgun and told her he would kill her before leaving the location with the handgun. Deputies conducted an area search but were unable to locate Mitchell.

The Sheriff’s department has issued active warrants for Timothy Charles Mitchell for investigation of false imprisonment, being a felon in possession of a firearm, domestic violence, and theft of a firearm.
