Assessed property values are trending up for San Bernardino County as a whole, but have decreased for municipalities in the Morongo Basin. Reporter Dan Stork breaks down the numbers…
According to figures released on July 1 by the office of San Bernardino County Assessor David Draeger, the more than 800,000 parcels in the County have a current total assessed value of about $167.5 billion, up 3 percent from last year. The Twentynine Palms total assessed value is about $802 million, down 1.8 percent. The Yucca Valley total of $1.34 billion represents a decrease of 1.1 percent from last year. While the assessed value of properties in the unincorporated areas of the entire county is up 3.5 percent, separate figures for the unincorporated areas of the Morongo Basin are not readily available.
