The Defense Commissary Agency, or DeCA, has made significant progress in re-opening the commissary at the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms. The commissary was closed October 11 due to a severe rodent infestation. DeCA has announced it is thoroughly cleaning the store, training employees on how to prevent and control infestations, ensuring that entrances to the store are properly closed when not in use, and that good sanitation is practiced, from cleaning up spills promptly to ensuring proper storage. DeCA said it is working to ensure this issue doesn’t happen again.
