Sheriff’s deputies with the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s station conducted two proactive traffic enforcement patrols in Yucca Valley last Friday and Sunday. The traffic enforcement deputies were in addition to the deputies who are regularly assigned to patrol Yucca Valley. Over the two days, the deputies stopped 180 people; of those contacts, 158 resulted in traffic citations, including moving and equipment violations. Two vehicles were towed for expired registration and unlicensed drivers, and three arrests were made for narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on warrants.
