Prepare for possible rain and flooding through Sunday

The Town of Yucca Valley issued a storm advisory for Thursday (November 13) through Sunday (November 16)
They said they are preparing for inclement weather moving through Southern California later this week, including heavy rainfall and high winds.
They advise residents to take precautions and avoid unnecessary travel, especially through low-lying washes due to the chance of flash flooding. The Town’s Public Works crews are preparing to respond to emergencies, but all local motorists should be alert to the adverse conditions and avoid areas where excessive water could impede the safe flow of traffic. Normally dry washes could quickly become engorged with flood waters, even if rain is not falling in the immediate area.
Sandbags can be picked up at San Bernardino County Fire Stations, with a limit of 10 per pickup.
