A major power outtage hit the high desert late Saturday night (August 5). A representative of Southern California Edison confirmed that the outtage occured at 10:49 p.m. on Saturday night. The outtage initially impacted 1651 customers in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree including Z1077’s headquarters. Power was fully restored by 3 a.m. Sunday morning (August 6). The cause of the outtage is reportedly related to a traffic collision in the area of Yucca Mesa Road and Buena Vista in Yucca Mesa.
