Twentynine Palms police are investigating a drive-by shooting in the city Saturday night. According to Sergeant Rick Millard of the Sheriff Department, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 72000 block of Sunnyslope Drive about 7:15 Saturday night. Although investigators recovered shell casings at the scene, Millard said they were unsure how many shots were fired, saying only that it was several. Millard said detectives are also investigating the possibility that the home’s residents shot back at the vehicle. Investigators were unable to find any bullets that hit the house, and Millard said no one was injured. Witnesses described the vehicle used in the drive-by shooting as a dark Chevy Suburban-type vehicle. Anyone with info is asked to call the Sheriff Dept at 760-366-4175.
