POKÉMON-GO BLAMED FOR TWENTYNINE PALMS ASSAULT

A man says he was beat up by two men while he was playing Pokemon Go in Twentynine Palms early Wednesday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, the unidentified man said he was at the Historic Plaza, near Adobe Road and Two Mile Road, about 1 a.m. playing Pokémon-Go when two suspects approached him and assaulted him. The report states the man tried to leave and fought back, but the assailants knocked him unconscious. The victim told deputies nothing appeared to be stolen.
