PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING IN JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK

A single-engine, experimental plane made an emergency landing in Joshua Tree National Park Saturday. According to a Park spokesman, the plane landed on Pinto Basin Road, close to Smoketree Wash, about 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. There were no injuries or damages to the plane. Park employees contacted the Federal Aviation Administration and the plane was towed out.
