There could be a treat, or not, in store at Pappy and Harriet’s tomorrow night as the band “Pizza Underground”—fronted by former child star Macauley Culkin—takes the local stage. Managing Editor Tami Roleff says the group has not always had a great reception…
Former child star Macaulay Culkin is hoping his band, The Pizza Underground, will get a better reception from the Morongo Basin than it did in Nottingham, England, earlier this year. The five-piece band, which parodies the Velvet Underground and other well-known artists with songs about pizza, was booed off the stage and doused in beer at the May concert after changing the lyrics of Lou Reed’s song “Perfect Day” to “It’s a Pizza Day.” The Pizza Underground will be playing at Pappy and Harriet’s at 8 p.m. November 18. Tickets are $15. For more information and to buy tickets, visit pappyandharriets.com.
