UPDATE: CLOSURE CANCELLED:
**SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY HAS CANCELLED THE CLOSURE OF PIONEERTOWN ROAD SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. PIONEERTOWN ROAD IS OPEN.**
Pioneertown Road in Yucca Valley will be closed October 19 and 20 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Southern California Edison will be replacing power poles along the road from Sand Road to Skyline Ranch Road, and the large cranes used to install the poles will take up the entire road. Motorists will have to use Old Woman Springs Road to Pipes Canyon Road to get to Pioneertown during this time.
