The City of Twentynine Palms Public Arts Advisory Committee has approved the commissioning of Ricardo Breceda to create a sculpture of pioneer women to be placed on National Park Drive. Breceda is the same artist whose metal sculptures dot that median already. There will be a 10-day period for the public to view the design before it goes to the Twentynine Palms City Council for review on June 23. The design will be available for viewing by the public at the Twentynine Palms Recreation offices between the hours of 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
