Anyone interested in the history of Twentynine Palms, who wants to meet some of the earlier residents, and share their memories and stories of Twentynine Palms, can attend the Old Timers Gathering during Pioneer Days. The Old Timers Gathering is set for Saturday, October 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Old Schoolhouse Museum. No one is too young or too old to participate in the gathering. Remember, the youngsters of today are the old timers of tomorrow. Refreshments will be available. This year’s Old Timers’ Gathering will feature a silent auction of ceramic creations by renowned desert artist, Howard Pierce. All funds raised from the auction will go to the Historical Society’s museum expansion fund.
