PIONEER DAYS KICK-OFF FRIDAY

There’s much to do for those aiming to be a part of the 81st annual Pioneer Days celebration in Twentynine Palms October 21. Reporter Mike Lipsitz has details on the big Kick Off and opportunities for contestants, vendors and other participants…
The Pioneer Days celebration kicks off Friday evening, September 15 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Bowladium. Hosted by The Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce and The Bowladium, the Kick Off! will feature live entertainment, Elks Lodge Bar-B-Que, beer, contests, and family fun.
Sign up to be a Pioneer Days Judge and Sheriff and sell commemorative buttons. The team that sells the most buttons gets to ride in the Parade. And if you plan to be a little more active, the outhouse races are back. There are cash prizes for the winning teams; register at the Visitor Center by September 10. Pioneer Days also offers clubs, businesses, and other organizations an opportunity to market themselves to the community; apply for the limited vendor space now as vendors will not be duplicated.
For more information contact the Chamber at 760-367-3445 or email [email protected].
