PERRIS WOMAN GIVES FALSE NAME AFTER SHOPLIFTING AT WAL-MART

A Perris woman was arrested in the Yucca Valley Walmart Monday afternoon, accused of shoplifting and giving a false name to law enforcement. According to a Sheriff’s report, Walmart employees observed Tashianna Lewis, 23, along with two men, concealing food, liquor, and clothing under their clothes and in shopping bags. The three then attempted to leave the store while paying for only a few inexpensive items. Deputies detained Lewis and the two men outside the store, and Lewis gave deputies an identification card with a false name on it. Her true identity was determined during the booking process at the Morongo Basin Jail. Tashianna Lewis was arrested for investigation of false impersonation, with her bail set at $50,000. No information was available on whether her companions were arrested for shoplifting.
