PEDESTRIAN VS VEHICLE IN YUCCA VALLEY LEAVES MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS

In the early hours of Saturday (October 2), Sheriff deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and laying on the ground. Just after midnight, deputies arrived at the intersection of Hermosa Ave. and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley to assist a man that was lying in the roadway with significant injuries. The victim was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center while a witness told deputies that the victim had left a vehicle at a nearby business. The vehicle identified was determined to be stolen out of San Diego as another witness confirmed that someone matching the victim’s description was seen driving the vehicle and walking on foot towards where the victim was found. Deputies attempted to interview the victim at the hospital but could not due to the victim being intubated. Z107.7 will update this story as more information becomes available
