PEDESTRIAN STRUCK ON SKATEBOARD IN 29 PALMS

A pedestrian riding their skateboard was struck by a vehicle Tuesday in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sherriff’s press release, on April 12, just before 9 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, responded to a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at the 6200 block of Encelia Avenue. Upon arrival, the victim was located laying on the side of the road suffering major injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined the victim was riding his skateboard in the middle of Encelia Avenue traveling south when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
