A pedestrian was killed early this morning when he was hit by a vehicle on the highway in Twentynine Palms. About 5:35 a.m., the unidentified man was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound at Highway 62 and Encelia Avenue. Westbound lanes were closed for several hours while the Sheriff’s Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team investigated. A detour was in place for vehicles at Highway 62 and Lupine.
