A Twentynine Palms pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle yesterday. Investigators say at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to the 72600 block of Two Mile Road for a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Deputies discovered that 34-year-old Marc Bruner was walking west in the dirt on the north side of Two Mile Road when he stepped out into the roadway in front of a Toyota Tundra travelling westbound on Two Mile road and was struck. Witnesses told Z107.7 News that he was thrown 25 feet by the impact. Marc Bruner was transported to a hospital by Morongo Basin Ambulance; he later succumbed to his injuries at Desert Hospital in Palm Springs.
