PEDESTRIAN HOSPITALIZED IN TWENTYNINE PALMS HIT AND RUN

A pedestrian was hospitalized Friday morning following a hit-and-run in Twentynine Palms. According to a Sheriff’s report, the male pedestrian, described only as being in his mid-20s, was crossing Baseline Road near Adobe Road at 7:45 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle that turned northbound onto Adobe Road. The vehicle then left the scene. The victim, who was bleeding from the head, was sitting on the curb when rescue personnel arrived. He was taken to Desert Hospital in Palm Springs for possible injuries to his head, shoulder, and hand. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’ Department at 760-366-4175.
