A Twentynine Palms pedestrian who was almost hit by cars for the second time in two weeks, was arrested Tuesday, accused of being a drug dealer. Deputies were called to the intersection of El Paseo Road and Split Rock Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 4 p.m. for a man who was nearly hit by cars as he was weaving in the middle of a traffic lane. Jeremy Gurule, 33, appeared to be high on drugs and during a search the responding deputy found individually packaged baggies of suspected methamphetamine. Gurule allegedly admitted to the deputy that he intended to sell the drugs. Jeremy Gurule was arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance for sales, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000. Two weeks ago, Gurule was arrested after several residents reported that he was running along the highway and was nearly hit by passing vehicles; he pleaded guilty last week to possession of a concealed knife and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
