The 2019 Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship Pageant is this Saturday (February 9) at 6 p.m. in the Joshua Springs Thunderdome. Today we meet three of the 11 contestants. Annabelle Hunt is an honor roll student interested in social media marketing. If chosen Miss Yucca Valley, Annabelle would like to be a good role model for girls, especially ones whose mothers are not around. Marissa Lindley would like to be a dental hygienist. She is a competitive golfer and has made the honor roll every year to date. If chosen Miss Yucca Valley, Marissa would like to spread positivity throughout the town, help people in need and be involved with our community. Sierra Rogers is an honor roll student who would like to study abroad in Italy and become fluent in two languages. If chosen Miss Yucca Valley, Sierra would like to help create more volunteer and event participation opportunities for local youth. Tickets for the pageant will be available at the door.
