PAROLEE-AT-LARGE ARRESTED DURING PEDESTRIAN CHECK MONDAY

A parolee-at-large who had a warrant for his arrest was taken into custody early Monday morning. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy conducted a pedestrian check on a man, later identified as Daniel LaMonte, 31, of Yucca Valley, at 2:30 a.m. near 29 Palms Highway and Dumosa Avenue. During a records check, the deputy determined that LaMonte was on parole for assault with a deadly weapon, and a warrant had been issued for his arrest for being out of compliance with the terms of his parole. Daniel LaMonte was arrested, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail.
